The Communion of Saints

By Andrew Thornton-Norris – London, United Kingdom

The element in which the spirit lives,

Like fish in water, birds in air, is this:

Silence, where communion is not

With those on earth, but is in solitude.

The element in which happiness

Exists is contemplation, where we see

The nature of the universe within

Reflected in the universe without.
